NOTICED - Pump does not operate or 'Power' LED light flashes & alarm sounds: ISSUE - Power supply has been lost; SOLUTION - (1) Ensure all connections from wall plug and pump connector are properly seated in their sockets (2) Contact Studio Care or your preferred dealer | NOTICED - The 'Leak' light flashes and alarm sounds: ISSUE - There is a leak somewhere in the system; SOLUTION - (1) Ensure the air-hose is securely connected to the mattress system and pump and no kinks or tears are present (2) Ensure the sensor cable is securely attached to the side of the pump under the air-hose (3) Contact Studio Care or your preferred dealer

What does 1-in-2 vs 1-in-3 alternation mean?

What does 1-in-2 vs 1-in-3 alternation mean? These terms refer to how the air cells within the mattress system cycle to redistribute pressure. 1-in-2 alternation means one air cell is inflated while the adjacent cell is deflated, providing maximum on-load/off-load therapy. This mode delivers the most effective pressure redistribution and is ideal for clients at high risk of pressure injury. 1-in-3 alternation means two cells remain inflated while one deflates, creating a more stable and supportive surface. It’s suited for clients with reduced pressure tolerance or those requiring increased surface contact for comfort and postural support. Both modes are selectable based on clinical presentation and individual tolerance.
